As the saying goes, “It’s better to enjoy together than alone.” Dr Chan Kai Tai, psychiatrist and lyricist, will share his personal experience in writing lyrics for “Cantopop”, and the interplay of personal growth and daily living in the creative process. He will also explore how our culture and the inner spiritual world are reflected in the lyrics of Cantopop with a view to inspiring listeners to enjoy and resonate the lyrics with their ordinary daily life in gaining joy and peace from the words ...
The “Meet-the-Authors 2025” is themed on “Joyful Writing”. Apart from the above mentioned talk hosted by Dr Chan, some other writers will also visit public libraries in various districts to share their experiences in capturing life moments in captivating words and phrases in their works.

* Registration by phone begins 2 weeks in advance. Limited seats are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
* Please arrive 5 minutes before commencement of the talk. Registration becomes invalid when the talk begins. Seats will then be allocated to those waiting on-site.
